Drake may have a future baller on his hands. The proud dad posted a video of his 3-year-old son Adonis gasping in amazement over LeBron James’ greatest plays. Drizzy posted the clip to his Instagram account on Tuesday (May 4), which captured his son’s reaction to a reel of the NBA legend’s best highlights.
“Oh my God! You see?” Adonis exclaimed to his father as he watched James in action.
The adorable video also caught the attention of James, who commented on the post, “Nephew [locked] the hell in!! Yessir!!”
Later in the day, Drake also posted a clip to his Story of little Adonis dribbling and shooting a basketball at his father’s indoor court.
This isn’t the first time that Drake has shared his son’s love of basketball on the internet. Last month, the Toronto rap star posted a clip of Adonis sinking shot after shot in a miniature basketball hoop while a woman, possibly his mother Sophie Brussaux, cheered him on. Drake’s recent hit “What’s Next” also played in the background.
Drake talked about fatherhood and raising Adonis with James on his unscripted HBO series, “The Shop,” back in 2018. At the time, Drake told the Los Angeles Lakers star that his son was “already in the pool shooting the basketball.”
“He’s gonna get to a certain age [and] I’m gonna bring him right to ‘Bron’s house and I’ma be like, ‘Yo, summer camp at Bronny’s house!” he added.
Drake also spoke with Lil Wayne last year on Wayne’s Young Money Radio show about his decision to post his first photos of Adonis.
“I want to be able to go places with my son and share memories with my son,” he said. “I don’t want to feel like just because of a life choice I made to be a celebrity that I got to make everybody live under this blanket… I just wanted to free myself of that.”
