Oakland’s very own Capolow has officially unveiled his newest single “Fuego” and tapped AZ Chike to assist. The new single is a follow-up to his October project Kid Next Door. The new release is paired with an accompanying visual, where we see Capolow handle the opening hook and verse:
When I die, I’ma go and join hell with diablo/ I drop big shit like an a-hole, if I don’t pay hell is where I may go/
Bitch I’m the baker’s man, bitch I need cake I need pesos/ Hit the trap just to go and get my stacks up/ 20 bands bitch I got my racks up
The new music video is directed by StackingMemories and creative direction was handled by Russell North. Surrounded by hues of orange and blue, Capolow and Az Chike deliver their verses while scenes of the grungy and eerie setting flash back and forth. At one point, they even take a chainsaw to one of the ladies in the house, making the viewer intrigued about what could possibly happen next.
Last year in March, Capolow released his project Room 304. On the 16-track project, he linked up with fellow Bay Area rappers Guapdad 4000 and ALLBLACK, as well as Murdock, Yungeen Ace, Az Chike, and Philthy Rich. He also dropped off his single “Down” as well. Kamaiyah and Capolow joined forces in September to create an homage to their city, their collab project Oakland Nights. The 10-track body of work sees features from RJMrLA and Keek Da Sneak, and maintains a smooth bounce throughout. In terms of music from Az Chike, he shared Almighty Chike 2 back in November, which was a collaboration EP with Almighty Suspect.
