Roddy Ricch is speaking out following concerns he was harmed in gunfire that broke out during his music video shoot with 42 Dugg.
On Monday (Feb. 22), the “High Fashion” hitmaker took to Twitter to ensure fans that he was doing well. “Aint nobody shoot at me. We all good,” he wrote, noting he’s focused on one thing: “I’m juss tryna feed the streets.”
His tweet confirms a statement from his friend A-Tron, who previously informed fans that “The Box” star and “all the homies” were “good.”
Ricch and 42 Dugg made headlines on Sunday night (Feb. 21) after reports revealed that a shooting occurred at a scrap yard in southwest Atlanta, where they were filming a music video. Per Metro UK, the shooting prompted about 50 people to run for cover.
“Everyone started running, trying to get out,” witness Teresa Lakes told the publication. “Or take cover, lot of places to take cover in there. Anyone that was injured, I laid hands on ‘em to make sure they were okay. Just glad it wasn’t a lot worse then it could have been… could have been worse.”
Hours later, after getting wind of the gunfire reports, 42 Dugg hopped on Lil Baby’s Instagram Live session to debunk rumors he was fired at during the video shoot. “Y’all stop with that fake shit, man. We ain’t been around no gun shooting, none of that,” Dugg explained. “Real talk, man. We good…Thanks for the love, though. I appreciate the love, though.”
While Dugg and Ricch walked away unscathed, “Antoine Blake and Vernon Moulder have been identified as the victims,” per XXL. “Both remain hospitalized in stable condition. Another individual, Peter Cook, was initially believed to have been grazed by a bullet. But upon further evaluation by paramedics, it was confirmed that he sustained a laceration from a piece of debris.”
