Anytime Key Glock and Young Dolph get on a track together, you can be assured that it’s top quality product. For their latest, the Memphis stars deliver the new single “Case Closed,” a BandPlay-produced offering that sees the two rapping about their relative journeys from rags to riches:
“Went from sleeping on the floor, now my jewelry box froze, fuck a boat, fuck a store, counted millions in a coat, bad bitch, booty swole, got her on bankroll, can’t fold, that’s a no, headshot, case closed/
Buss it down with the bros, put that up, go get some mo’, selling bags out the backdoor, keep that on the low, bad bitch, booty swole, got her on bankroll, can’t fold, that’s a no, headshot, case closed/”
Back in 2019, Dolph and Glock released the joint project Dum and Dummer, which saw 22 equally dope cuts with zero features. That project became a Billboard top ten success for the duo, selling 45,000 album equivalent units during its first week of release.
This year, Dolph unveiled the deluxe edition of last year’s release Rich Slave, adding eight addition tracks to a project that already saw top-quality cuts with assists from Megan Thee Stallion and G Herbo. Rich Slave also landed Dolph in the top five of the Billboard 200 with 65,000 album equivalent units during its first week out. Meanwhile, 2020 also saw Glock blessing his fans with two projects — Yellow Tape and Son Of A Gun made landfall in January and May, respectively. Last month, Glock also delivered the hard-hitting cut “Off The Porch,” which is hopefully a sign that a new full-length project is on the way.
In the meantime, fans can enjoy Key Glock and Young Dolph’s “Case Closed” below. As with Glock, fans can also probably expect a new body of work from Dolph sooner than later.
