Ludacris is a man of many talents, but unfortunately, cooking is not one of them. With hopes to learn his way around the kitchen, the Fast and Furious actor is launching a cooking special titled “Luda Can’t Cook.”
The one-hour show, executive produced by Will Packer, will see the rapper try his hand at cooking alongside chef Meherwan Irani, who will introduce him to international flavors and techniques.
Ludacris loves food, but he blames his inability to cook on his lack of patience and his mom, whose cooking skills were less than great. “I love my mother with all my heart. My mother was not the best cook in the world,” he said. “Her food and cooking has gotten better and better over a long period of time.”
His wife, Eudoxie Bridges, is the chef of his household, but he hopes to learn a thing or two about making his own meals. In the show, he will specifically try to put together an Indian course. “It’s so complex that I just wanted to understand how it’s made,” he said. “The whole Luda can’t cook is only 99% true. There’s 1%; I can cook tacos.”
Aside from Luda’s forthcoming special, the star is preparing for the release of Fast and Furious 9, which is set to come out later this year. He recently reminded fans that he can still spit a few bars when he took to Instagram and freestyled over Drumma Boy’s “Drumma Boy And Friends .” The post was shared on Twitter and fans reminisced on the days he was active in music while expressing their appreciation for his discography.
“Ludacris still executing lyrical exercises with no effort,” one user wrote, while another penned the tweet, “Ludacris forever been one of the most underrated in the game.”
“Luda Can’t Cook” will hit the Discovery+ streaming service on Feb. 25.
