It’s been a couple of years since Fredo unveils his debut album Third Avenue, a top five release that saw 13 tracks and a couple of features from Santan Dave and Lil Dotz. Since then, the West London emcee has been peppering the masses with top quality singles like “2 Cups” with Stay Flee Get Lizzy, Popcaan, and Tory Lanez, “Netflix & Chill,” “Scorpion,” “Hickory Dickory Dock,” and – most recently – “What Can I Say.” This week, Fredo reunites with Dave in his producer role for the new single “Back To Basics,” which sees him returning to his Mozart Estate roots from a lyrical standpoint:

“You think I read comments? I’m a bad boy with street problems, AP, Patek and a Rolex, I keep options, fifty thousand for a festival, I keep shottin’, catch me countin’ twenty in the morning while I eat porridge/

Babygirl you look good, let me see suttin’, I was stuck up in the hood, had to be suttin’, n***as show respect in the place when my teams comin’, I’ll shut when I get to the place, I don’t need loving/”

Directed by Suave, the accompanying clip shows Fredo living lavish, complete with Lambo trucks, plenty of jewelry, fine dining, and city skyline views with his crew. In addition to performing outside in the nighttime, Fredo can also be seen smoking weed and playing dice with his people, a clear sign that he’s very much the same individual from time.

“Back To Basics” is said to be taken from his forthcoming LP Money Can’t Buy Happiness, which will hopefully be making landfall something by month’s end. The artwork for the album was revealed to the world via social media just prior to the aforementioned single’s release:
