Even in 2021, Juice WRLD’s name continues to live on through his music. Today, the late rapper’s team officially liberates a bittersweet new single titled “BAD BOY,” a hard-hitting cut that features assistance from Young Thug. The single was originally leaked last year, before seeing various delays in regards to a proper release.
Produced by Pi’erre Bourne, “BAD BOY” sees the collaborators likening themselves to Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s iconic Bad Boy characters while harmonizing about their hedonistic lifestyles:
“Wrecked the GT-R, I love to crash cars, I’m a bad boy so I got a bad broad, futuristic rides imported from Mars, Smith & Wesson .45, put a hole in his heart, better not play with me, killers they stay with me, your bae, she lay with me/
She fell in love with my ice, yeah, that hockey rink, when they come to kick it, I’m not on a soccer team…/”
Prior to the song being made available on streaming platforms, Cole Bennett and Lyrical Lemonade revealed a virtually all black-and-white visual for the song, which plays out like a behind the scenes view of old footage with special effects, showing the well-suited Thugger and Juice WRLD performing in front of a Buick Grand National. Now, Bennett and his camp reveal the properly finished product for all to see in its full glory.
“BAD BOY” follows the recently released singles “Reminds Me Of You” with The Kid LAROI and “Real Shit” with Benny Blanco, both of which may or may not appear to Juice WRLD’s second posthumous release. Prior to that, fans got to hear the well-received Legends Never Die, which debuted at number one after selling just under 500,000 album equivalent units during its first week of release.
Fans can press play on Juice WRLD and Young Thug’s “BAD BOY” — both the brand new visual and the aforementioned clip — below.
