Back in December, YFN Lucci dropped off his latest project Wish Me Well 3, a 21-track release that saw additional assists from Boosie Badazz, Rick Ross, Jeezy, Yo Gotti, Mulatto, Jackboy, and more. This week, the Atlanta star drops off a new video from the project for “Rolled On,” which features Sacramento rapper Mozzy and shows the two drawing a line in the sand for both loved ones and enemies:
“If it’s love, say that shit, yeah, if it’s war, then we slide too, yeah, I’m too grown to play that shit, yeah, I drop a bag and they gon’ find you/
Roll with me or get rolled onRoll with me or get rolled on, boy, I’m ridin’ ‘til my soul gone, cold world, put a coat on, you ain’t gang, nigga, hold on, roll with me or get rolled on…/”
Directed by Mokablu, the accompanying clip sees YFN Lucci and his crew hanging at a dinner, where Mozzy can be seen working behind the counter adding his “magical butter” to Lucci’s food. Upon consumption, Lucci appears to enter into some psychedelic trance, after which he and his love interest are seen watching warped versions of themselves in an “I Love Lucy” parody. Overall, it’s a fun watch for an otherwise street-oriented cut.
Unfortunately, it’s not all good news for YFN Lucci. Shortly after the release of his new music video, the HIStory emcee turned himself in to authorities over his reported involvement in a fatal shooting that took place before the new year — he’s currently being held in Fulton County Jail. His attorney, Thomas Reynolds, made a statement to CNN regarding the matter at hand:
“The presumption of innocence is a fundamental constitutional right for every citizen. Beyond this, we have no further comment at this time.”
