Back in November, LE$ dropped off his Dios project, and now he has officially shared the visual to pair with its intro track “Opus.” In the video, LE$ takes a ride through his city as the first verse plays, featuring bars about avoiding attachment:
Ain’t never buildin’ no character, y’all ain’t got no art. I still was able to see it when all my days was dark, and all I know is just to keep on. Ain’t on the type of time that we be on. Been tryna find the space I feel I belong. Ain’t got no attachmеnt, I keep it movin’ and you could be gone. I got too many dreams, it’s impossiblе to go sleep on, I’m on another frequency. Deeper than language you wanna speak to me. N***as out here movin’ with no decency. This another fabric, been cut from a better cloth. To get up to them wins, gotta gracefully take a loss, yeah.
The Dios project is equipped with 12 songs and no features to allow him to be the star of his own show. LE$ took no breaks and wasted no time starting off the new year right. As soon as the ball dropped, he brought forth Distant, his new collaborative EP with the legendary Bun B. The new project sees the two Texans trading bars for six tracks.
Over the last nine years, Le$ has released approximately 30 underground mixtapes, some featuring collaborations with the likes of Bun B, Big K.R.I.T., Dom Kennedy, Mac Miller, Chamillionaire, Stalley, Freddie Gibbs, and plenty more. After experiencing underground success, he became the newest member of Curren$y’s Jet Life roster and moved on after two years to grow his own Steak and Shrimp imprint.
