Back in September, Big Sean released his fifth studio album Detroit 2, which saw 21 tracks and additional features from Nipsey Hussle, Post Malone, Anderson .Paak, Wale, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Tee Grizzley, Eminem, and more. This week, the G.O.O.D. Music star drops off a new visual from the album for “Body Language,” which features Jhené Aiko and Ty Dolla $ign and sees the collaborators speaking on love and relationships:
“I know, I had people in my circlе but they weren’t in my cornеr, I had people in my business, but they didn’t support it, but took advantage of me like they supposed to do with their moments/
Everything you didn’t do, but could’ve did if you wanted, working overtime, it’s time I could be taking you down…/”
The video comes courtesy of child. and takes inspiration from classic 90’s films like Love Jones, Poetic Justice, Waiting To Exhale, Best Man, and Jason Lyric, with Big Sean and Jhené Aiko playing the main roles while Ty Dolla $ign provides occasional co-starring assists throughout. Given Sean and Aiko’s chemistry, viewers can expect for the two to create some hot and heavy moments in the creative clip.
During a recent appearance on REVOLT’s “The Fat Joe Show,” Big Sean spoke to said show’s namesake about his earlier career days in hip hop, paying homage to a certain individual to provided him the resources to create music:
“Street Lord Juan gave me the opportunity to record at his studios … Obviously he was one of the forefathers of the Detroit sound that you hear a lot in music, a lot when I was growing up. … Street Lord Juan really helped me and gave me a foundation and support system to get my music done, recorded, hooked me up with the right engineers that he had and just helped me.”
