After years of producing for some of the industry’s most popular names including Kendrick Lamar and YG, L.A. native Blxst had a great take off with his career with his debut album, No Love Lost. The project combines the most ear-pleasing qualities of both R&B and hip-hop, both being genres that he weaves in and out of with ease and impressive finesse. The campaign for No Love Lost dates back to 2019 with his breakout single, “Hurt,” a track that finds him bearing the pain and disappointment of being done wrong by a close friend with a look of fearless nonchalance. Today, the artist blesses us with the deluxe version to the project and it’s even better than the original.

The West Coast sensation has had one hell of a year, turning heads everywhere and proving to be a massive force in the game. Through his No Love Lost album, Blxst began to offer a new take on cruising music, delivering pure artistry and showing that he can be the next face of Los Angeles Hip Hop. The state of California is not new to breaking some of the best R&B acts. Through recent years, Ty Dolla $ign, Jhené Aiko and countless others have emerged and built substantial catalogs. Now, Syd, Kehlani and many others are carrying the torch. With the deluxe version of No Love Lost, Blxst has officially inserted himself into the conversation.

There’s been many comparisons made by the public between Blxst and the legendary Nate Dogg. Speaking with UPROXX back in August, here’s what he had to say:

“I love it, actually. I’m a big fan of Nate Dogg and I just felt melodically, we fit in that same pocket of just being smooth and easy-going, not too aggressive on the track. We just fit perfectly with any artists, but we also have our own world we can go to.”
