On the heels of the release of his Capital Gains project, Willie the Kid dropped off a brand new single “Mother of Pearls” alongside V Don featuring Eto. The track came paired with the announcement a new collaborative sequel with V Don entitled Deutsche Marks 2, the sequel to their 2017 project. The duo is back with the second offering from the project, their new song “Plum Wine.”

The new body of work will be available officially on Nov. 27. Back at the top of September, Willie The Kid unveiled his newest album Capital Gains. The 10-track album from the Michigan emcee features Action Bronson, Curren$y, Roc Marciano, Eto, Kiyana and Tekh Togo. The rapper kept his momentum going by sharing a brand new video for “Dirty Game” produced by V12 The Hitman. In more recent news, Willie The Kid can be heard on Waldo’s “Reeds Lake” produced by Sango and he provided assists on “Mexico City” with VH$, Tedy Andreas, and Raz Fresco and Eto’s “Rusty Stainless” with Rome Streetz.

V Don also dropped a project in September, his collab project with Lord Apex titled Supply & Demand. He also shared Black Mass earlier this year in February which included guest verses from names like Dave East, Smoke Dza, Kadeem, and of course Willie The Kid.

In one of his recent interviews, Willie The Kid delved into the reasoning behind naming his album Capital Gains:

“The motivation was what’s going on right now in society, our communities. You know the COVID situation, the pandemic. The health is definitely a primary issue, but beyond that, it’s affecting people’s pockets. It even finds a way into government and legislation. Because they talk about the way it affects the working class, the upper class, and neighborhoods. Capital Gains is fitting for that concept. I always make thematic albums. My albums are always based on a theme, what I’m studying or into at the time.”
