It’s been about a year since MoStack released his official debut LP Stacko, which saw 13 tracks and features from J Hus, Dave, Stormzy, Fredo, and more. Since then, he’s been delivering loose singles to the masses, including “Staqdó,” “Loyal,” and “Miss Me” with AJ Tracey. Now, the North London star returns with “Change On Me,” which is produced by Rxwntree and is intended to remind fans of the hard-hitting MoStack from earlier years:

“I hopped off the car then I hopped on the bike, I couldn’t find the opps and I circlеd twice, I told you do your research, and you didn’t rеvise, you see me on the ‘Gram and they think I’m nice/

I’m traumatized, I got a lotta pain on me, you tried to sell dreams, I ain’t got change on me, why my friends have to change on me, uh? No more crying, it stays on me…/”

The accompanying video was directed by Wowa and begins with MoStack laid out near a pair of gloves and a gun, eventually collecting his items and mobbing with his crew and bikers surround them. The rapper can also be seen with high-end whips, a beautiful woman by his size, and celebrating his success with fireworks going off in the background. As with previous efforts, MoStack exudes a certain level of talent and confidence not seen by many in his position.

Prior to Stacko, fans got to check out MoStack’s breakout 2016 release Gangster With Banter, a 21-track effort that boasted collaborations alongside the likes of Sneakbo, Yungen, and Moelogo. A year later, he added to the flame with High Street Kid, further solidifying his place as one of Britain’s biggest rising stars. It’s hopeful that, with “Change On Me” and the other aforementioned tracks, a new body of work is on the horizon.
