MadeinTYO has recruited Chance the Rapper and Smino for TYO’s latest video “BET Uncut,” directed by TYO’s older brother David “FilthyMcDave” Hightower. An obvious homage to the certain BET era, the new visual shows the three rappers in scenes reminiscent of videos from that time period. For his verse, Chance the Rapper flows over the K. Swisha beat and references how the independent artist life is going:
I’m so f**kin’ nice that the opps wanna chill. All the Bel Air babies wanna cop them a feel. Wifey always with me, she a pop in the drill, but we gotta understand, then like Rodman and Phil. I’m so f**kin’ lucky that I’m not in a deal, I deserve some breakfast and some top in the Hills. Pigs in a blanket or cops in a quilt, lil’ skrrt steak like cow in a kilt.
The new “BET Uncut” track came paired with the announcement of MadeinTYO’s new album Never Forgotten, which is confirmed to release Oct. 30. “BET Uncut” will appear on it alongside a tracklist that boasts appearances from J Balvin, Toro y Moi, Young Nudy, Ty Dolla Sign, Cam’ron, Lucki, BJ the Chicago Kid, Wiz Khalifa, 24hrs, Na-Kel Smith, and the late Chynna. Never Forgotten follows TYO’s 2018 debut album Sincerely, Tokyo.
