Members of Donald Trump’s team are expressing gratitude for Ice Cube’s role in helping to develop his plan for Black Americans.
On Tuesday (Oct. 13), Katrina Pierson, senior advisor of the Trump campaign, thanked the N.W.A. rapper for his role in putting the Platinum Plan together.
“Shoutout to @icecube for his willingness to step up and work with @realDonaldTrump Administration to help develop the #PlatinumPlan,” she tweeted. “Leaders gonna lead, haters gonna hate! Thank you for leading.”
Diante Johnson, member of the Black Voices for Trump Advisory Board, later shared the news, noting the campaign got Ice Cube’s approval to make the announcement.
“So @icecube has officially given the Trump campaign permission to reveal that he has been helping us develop President Trump’s groundbreaking Black Trump platform: The Platinum Plan!” he wrote.
Trump’s Platinum Plan will reportedly “increase access to capital in Black communities by almost $500 billion.” It will also create three million new jobs for the Black community and 500,000 Black-owned businesses.
As REVOLT previously reported, the president also plans to “prosecute the KKK and Antifa as terrorist organizations” and declare lynching a national hate crime.
Ice Cube has been pushing his Contract with Black America for quite some time. Last month, he revealed that members of both Joe Biden and Trump’s teams were interested in learning about his proposed agenda.
On Sunday (Oct. 11), the Friday star followed up with a video on social media, expressing his thoughts on both parties.
“I’ve been making contacts trying to talk about these real issues. Straight up, I believe the Democrats have — they’ve been nice,” he said. “They’ve been cordial, so to speak. I don’t really see them pushing their policies in any different direction. They’re still talking this minority, minority, people of color shit that don’t necessarily include us. That don’t necessarily include Black Americans, especially descendants of slaves.”
“We also met with the Republicans and shit,” he continued. “They brought us in. We talked to ‘em. They’ve moved their agenda a lot because of what we said. You know, they put $500B on the table.”
Ice Cube has not yet confirmed his involvement in Trump’s Platinum Plan.
