California artist Blxst has been spoiling his supporters with consistency, as he has been dropping off visual after visual without missing a beat. Recently, the Los Angeles talent treated fans to a solo EP, No Love Lost, which dropped last month on Sept. 4. His latest installment of a video series he has been rolling out with the album arrived today, as he adds another chapter with the video for “Gang Slide.”
The new release today follows the two other videos in the series: “Be Alone,” “Overrated” and “No Love Lost.” The featureless No Love Lost EP was well-received and debuted at #14 on Billboard Heatseekers Albums Chart. Blxst has recently shared his talent on Mozzy’s singles “I Ain’t Perfect” and “Streets Ain’t Safe,” as well as Bino Rideaux’s “Brand New.”
In 2019, he released a collaboration project with Bino Rideaux titled Sixtape. Blxst initially started earning notoriety for his production work and collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, YG, Mozzy, G Perico, Eric Bellinger, Bino Rideaux and more. Today, he stands as a multi-talented artist, proving he has the skill set to tackle rapping, singing, songwriting, and production.
In a recent interview, Blxst spoke about the importance of taking your time to prioritize quality over quantity:
“When you’re raising a family or raising children, you realize time is the most valuable thing, so developing patience is something I took heed to. You don’t want to rush the project. You want to make sure it’s the best version it can be, so that’s what I focus on. Quality outlasts quantity. You can put out a bunch of music, but if it doesn’t stick, then what good is it? If you have something that’s filling and everlasting and timeless, those are the types of things I feel are more able to stick.”
