LL Cool J had a few choice words for Kanye West after he uploaded a video of himself urinating on a Grammy award to social media last month.

During a recent interview on “Desus & Mero,” the Mama Said Knock You Out rapper spoke about the viral moment — while throwing some small jabs at Ye’s signature sneaker.

“With all due respect, I think Kanye should just — maybe he should just piss in a Yeezy or something instead of pissing on a Grammy,” he said around the 15:40 mark. “Piss in a pair of one them Yeezys, B. I felt some kind of way about that shit. I didn’t love that shit, because I’ve been with the Grammys for five years.”

The Queens emcee, who has hosted the Grammys five times, admitted that the Recording Academy made some mistakes in the past, but said it “didn’t get everything wrong either.”

“I don’t understand this constant disrespect,” LL continued. ”Look, now don’t get me wrong, there have been some foul things that have happened to some artists around the Grammys; they are not without flaw … but piss on one those fucking space shoes or something … C’mon, man. What the fuck is he doing?”

Last month, West uploaded a video of himself urinating on a Grammy award that was inside of a toilet bowl. The Jesus Is King emcee shared numerous tweets criticizing the music industry, which he referred to as a “modern day slave ship.”

He also said that artists needed to own their work, noting that “in the streaming world, master ownership is everything.” He claimed ownership was “more important than ever,” especially during the current pandemic.

“The artist deserve to own our masters,” West tweeted. “Artists are starving without tours. Imma go get our masters … for all artist … pray for me.”
