Last week, Mike WiLL Made-It and Chief Keef revealed that they were working on a new album, and blessed the fans with a hard-hitting single titled “Bang Bang.” The song sees Keef rapping about making money, guns, and more:
“In the trap steady walkin’ to the peephole, now I’m in a mansion, don’t know my gate code, in the party, woo woo, okay ho, she gon’ come through the back with the Draco/
No cash ain’t no on stage ho, can’t come through the front with the bankroll, she ran in the building, I was like, ‘Hey, bro, who b***h in the front with the mango?’/
Chief Sosa, I’m Mufasa, Rastafari bombaclota, we turn you to a water, lil’ n***a, please don’t get mopped up…/”
Now the track sees an accompanying visual that centers around a humanized rat and its eventual demise at the hands of the artists, a clear message to viewers in regards to the anti-snitching movement prevalent within hip hop. Longtime collaborators Lil Reese and Tadoe also make an appearance in the action-packed, ammo-heavy clip.
Prior to “Bang Bang,” Chief Keef fed his fans with The Glofiles (Pt. 4) and the Extra Glo EP in March and May, respectively. He’s also become a seasoned producer in his own right, his latest cook-up being for Lil Uzi Vert’s Eternal Atake cut “Chrome Hearts Tags.” His last official studio LP, Bang 3, Pt. 2, made landfall back in 2015. In addition to his working with the still-young Chicago hip hop legend, Mike WiLL Made-It has been crafting hits for other artists this year, including Polo G’s “Go Stupid,” Swae Lee’s “Someone Said,” Chloe X Halle’s “Catch Up,” and Lil Yachty’s “Pardon Me.”
