Despite some surprising legal issues, Migos aren’t allowing distractions to stop them from delivering new music to the fans. Back in May, the North Atlanta trio unveiled a new single titled “Need It,” which features YoungBoy Never Broke Again and sees the collaborators rapping about street life over production from Buddah Bless, who sampled 50 Cent’s Massacre standout “Get In My Car”:
“I said I need it, this Draco undefeated, hit your block and then I bleed it, go long, these bullets, he receive it I can’t see it/
My wrist look like a snow cone, make her eat it, once I see her, I give her that dope d*** just like it’s ether, then I leave her, I can’t get caught up, I can’t be on ‘Cheaters’…/”
Now, fans can also enjoy the Wyatt Winfrey and Migos-directed music video for the track, which sees all parties recreating scenes from the 90’s hood classic Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood. In other scenes, the artists live a lavish lifestyle, with shots of nice houses, cars, and a pool party with plenty of eye-candy. Quavo’s real-life love interest Saweetie also makes a cameo.
Prior to “Need It,” Migos liberated the singles “Racks 2 Skinny,” “Taco Tuesday,” and “Give No Fxk,” all of which may or may not appear on the group’s long-awaited Quarantine Mixtape. Said project is also supposed to act as an appetizer for Migos’ official follow-up to 2018’s Culture II. Earlier this year, it was revealed that the forthcoming LP would be titled Culture III and would act as the last installment of the series that began with the chart-topping Culture in 2017 — more recent announcements from the group have leaned otherwise.
Press play on “Need It” below. Hopefully, we’ll get more information on the aforementioned projects soon.
