Given that they call themselves Migos, this kind of visual was probably a long time coming. Last week, the North Atlanta collective celebrated Cinco de Mayo Lebron style via their release “Taco Tuesday,” a lighthearted cut that saw them having fun with the holiday over production courtesy of DJ Durel:
“Cha-nay-nay like she on the runway, it’s a payday when she get the cum face/
Mamacita want tequila and a Bombay, trap beating in the cul-de-sac, a one-way/
She want Perc’ ‘fore she take off her skirt, put in work, put your name on her skirt/
These diamonds get to winking, like to flirt, the K put your face on a shirt/
Been having flavor, givin’ waves since birth…/”
The video shows the group enjoying a night of homemade tacos — right down to the Old El Paso kit — and rocking the typical mariachi gear. If anything is to be said, it’s that these guys are really showing what it means to keep the family close, even after years of success and the usual celebrity drama does everything is can to upset it.
Recently, Quavo spoke to Billboard about how they’ve fared during the still-growing Coronavirus pandemic:
“We’ve been spending most of our time working in the studio working on our Culture III album and going back to the house and staying away, playing games and spending, like, three, four hours on ‘Call of Duty’ and back to the studio. Of course, the business has slowed down because we perform in front of masses of people… Dropping music and all that, it’s at a standstill right now with us because we need to go out there and touch the people to push our albums to make our music work.”
