Nicki Minaj and A$AP Ferg fans are about to be treated to some new music. On Monday (July 27), A$AP Rocky teased a rumored collaboration between the pair on Twitter.
“SUMBODY TELL [A$AP Ferg] 2 DROP DAT SHIT WIT HIM N NICKI ASAP,” Rocky wrote.
“Flacko,” Nicki retweeted the message, “I heard it was coming Thursday but I could be wrong.”
Ferg hopped in to confirm that the forthcoming single — which is called “Move Ya Hips” — will arrive on Thursday (July 30).
“The Queen is never wrong,” he wrote in response to Nicki’s tweet. “‘Move Ya Hips’ 7/30.”
According to Ferg’s Twitter, the collaboration will also feature MadeinTYO.
“Move Ya Hips” was first previewed by DJ Clue, who shared a snippet of the track on his Instagram back in May. In the posted snippet, Nicki and Ferg could be heard swapping lines about about their respective New York hometowns. The pair last linked up on “Runnin” with A$AP Rocky for the Creed II soundtrack and on the remix for Ferg’s 2017 hit, “Plain Jane.”
The collaboration announcement arrives a week after Nicki revealed she’s pregnant with her first child. On July 20, the Queen rapper shared a series of maternity photos on Instagram.
“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes,” she captioned one post.
Besides “Move Ya Hips,” Nicki has also hinted at a few other collaborations as she toys with the idea of an upcoming album.
“I just recently collaborated with the DaBaby, so you know he got to return that favor — and Gunna, I love Gunna,” she told The Shade Room back in October. “So, if there is an album — there’s going to be way more [features] than that if there is an album — but those are two new people that I haven’t had on an album yet who I would love to work with them.”
