Nicki Minaj is expecting. The Queen rapper hopped on social media Monday morning (July 20) to announce the exciting news of her pregnancy and share a series photos of her baby bump.

“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes,” she captioned one photo on Instagram.

The child will be Minaj’s first. Back in October, the multi-platinum selling artist married her childhood friend Kenneth Petty. The couple began dating in December of 2018 and filed for a marriage license the following August. Minaj revealed that she and Petty had secretly gotten hitched by posting a video of some bridal shower gifts. Speaking with The Shade Room, she said they plan to host a wedding ceremony later on.

“You know when you’re a little girl and you want this big beautiful wedding? I used to think I was one of those girls… I always wanted the fairytale,” she told the outlet. “But then the things that used to matter to you don’t matter as much because I remember wanting those things with people, where real love wasn’t there. So, now I feel like now that everything has finally lined up and matched up being that I’m madly in love with this man — he’s also my best friend — the things that used to matter to me before, don’t matter as much now. So yes, we’re going to have a big wedding eventually.”

Back in May, Minaj’s fans speculated that she might be pregnant after she tweeted about experiencing unusual food cravings and nausea. The American Music Award winner also told fans she’d share a baby bump photo “in a couple months” and teased, “The world ain’t ready yet.”

Minaj recently earned her first No. 1 hit with her and Doja Cat’s “Say So (Remix).” She also dropped off “Yikes,” her first solo single of the year, and appeared on Tekashi 6ix9ine’s “TROLLZ.”
