Now free from his past label deal with Interscope, Tory Lanez is flying high with his latest single “Temperature Rising,” which is produced by DopeBoyzMuzic and Super Miles and sees the Canadian star telling his significant other his plans for a bedroom rendezvous:
“Temperature’s risin’, and I’m fantasizin’ bout’ givin’ it to you, givin’ you somethin’, won’t lie, it’s somethin’ I wanna do to you/
We got all night, girl, we can take it slowly, look back at it and shake it for me/
‘Cause only I can make you feel the way you feel, time to make you feel it for real/
Temperature risin’, makin’ love slow, your body’s callin’, rubbin’ on me slow…/”
The accompanying visual sees a freshly braided Tory Lanez getting hot and heavy with his co-star, both in his home and amongst an apparent plane wreckage. Simply put, Tory and said actress certainly eschew any of the current quarantine policies that are currently in place in exchange for convincing shots of passion.
“Temperature Rising” follows last month’s The New Toronto 3, which saw 16 tracks and appearances from Lil Tjay and Mansa. That project earned Tory a number two spot on the Billboard 200 — as well as a number one on the Canadian Albums chart — with 64,000 album equivalent units sold.
Speaking to Billboard, Tory Lanez spoke on his new independence, and why he’s not worried about label offers:
“To be 100 percent, there’s so many labels offering me so much money — like millions of dollars… I’ve gotten offers that are life-changing offers, but I don’t care. I already own my masters and publishing and everything. So I don’t see any reason to give that to somebody else.”
You can press play on “Temperature Rising” below. Given the fact that everyone’s still under quarantine, don’t be surprised if Tory Lanez delivers another project before year’s end.
