Last week, JoJo released her fourth studio album good to know, which has since received critical acclaim. Following videos for “Lonely Hearts” and “Man,” the New England star returns with a sultry clip for “Comeback,” which features Tory Lanez and sees production from 30 Roc. The track is very straightforward and sexual in nature, with JoJo making sure there’s no confusion between her and the apple of her eye:
“Trust me, it’s so much better when you trust me, so f***in’ good, boy, it’s disgusting/
Tell me it’s mine or I’ma lose my f***in’ mind, I need that d*** all the time/
It’s crazy how we didn’t talk for years, but we don’t need to say much to get caught up/
My body knows you like you’ve been the only one, baby, when we’re making love…/”
The visual matches the track’s sensual energy, with JoJo throwing certified thirst traps to viewers while Tory Lanez watches in awe via security cameras. It’s certainly a new and approved look for a beautiful artist that many remember from her breakout teenage years.
In a recent interview with Uproxx, JoJo reveals more information on her career troubles with Blackground Records, of which she was able to break free from her contract with the label in 2009. She spoke on what she endured doing that time:
“I thought that maybe it was the way that I looked because when I was 18, I remember being sat down in the office and the president of the label being like, ‘We just want you to look as healthy as possible,’ And I was like, ‘I’m actually the picture of health, I actually look like a healthy girl who eats and is active and I don’t think this is about my health. I think that you want me to be really skinny’ and he’s like, ‘No, I wouldn’t say that.’”
