Last year, French Montana delivered his third studio LP MONTANA, which contains 20 tracks over two sides and appearances from Gunna, Kodak Black, Kevin Gates, The Weeknd, Post Malone, Drake and many more. Following his music video for the Juicy J-assisted “50’s and 100’s,” the Coke Boy/Bad Boy-signed artist reveals a new clip from that project for “Salam Alaykum,” which is produced by French and go-to beatsmith Harry Fraud. The track sees French rapping stream-of-consciousness bars about death, being real, success, and more:

“They said when you die, come back a year later, creep in your bed, watch your main love creep/

Money root of evil, tunnel vision on the mountain like a eagle, fresh off a crate, sharp like a forty-five needle/

Fresh off the corner with a 45, servin’ dope fiends that need it, truth like Beanie Siegel first album…/”

The self-directed, black-and-white visual shows French taking a flight to the Middle East, where he and his crew are seen riding ATVs in the middle of the desert. Such an activity is probably a proper escape for the New York rhymer given his deep Moroccan roots. It’s also presumably a necessary part of his relaxation time — just last year, French found himself in a hospital for weeks due for a variety of symptoms, all said to be the result of apparent overworking.

French has also recently found himself on the receiving end of words from Chicago producer Young Chop, who has taken to dissing a slew of his hip hop peers, seemingly at random. He has since responded to the verbal attacks via social media:

Is sad to see this fake ass s*** ! Young [Chop] need to be in a mental institution … Is only a matter of time till somebody take his life . Than all u going see is #rip…and a bunch of fake s*** ! if somebody care about that man go grab him and take him somewhere …
