Tyga continues to prove why he’s one of the most relevent rappers in the game right now. Following a banner 2018, The west coast veteran has continued to deliver hits both for himself and as a guest artist for others. In addition to last year’s Gold-certified album Legendary, Tyga has remained on the charts thanks to “Light It Up” featuring Marshmello and Chris Brown, “Haute” featuring Brown and J Balvin, his appearances on YG’s “Go Loko,” Doja Cat’s “Juicy (Remix),” and more. This week, he makes a grand return to wax via his new single “Freak,” which features assistance from currently white-hot rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
It should be of little surprise as to the subject matter you’ll find on the Mustard and Pliznaya-produced cut, which samples the Black Eyed Peas’ 2005 classic “My Humps” and is definitely for the grown folks only:
“I need a freak, bounce to the beat, yeah/
Freak ***, tell me what to eat, yeah/
Freak girl, tell me where to sleep/
Swallow on the ****, hmm, tell me if it’s sweet, yeah/
I like a freak, do it in the car leave *** on the seat/
Do it in the dark, I don’t even wanna see/
Open up your door, I got a big ass key, yeah/
Like a freak tho’, baby bend your knees…/”
Naturally, Megan steals the spotlight with her well-known bars about what she needs in return, even sending shade toward a certain, unnamed ex-boyfriend:
“Broke up with my ex ‘cause I had the n***a scared…/”
The accompanying visual keeps with the theme, featuring plenty of vampiric, NSFW action for your viewing pleasure.
You can press play on “Freak” below, which is available on all of your favorite streaming platforms. In related news, Tyga’s former adversary Soulja Boy had some positive words for him during a recent Breakfast Club sit-down — you can view that here.
