YG has been released from jail on bond following a recent arrest for an alleged robbery. NBC News reports that the rapper bonded out of Los Angeles County jail late Friday night (Jan. 24) after posting bail, which was set at $250,000. He is scheduled to be arraigned in court in Compton on Tuesday (Jan. 28).

As previously reported, YG – who is scheduled to perform at the Grammys on Sunday (Jan. 26), was arrested in Chatsworth, a Los Angeles neighborhood within San Fernando Valley at around 4 a.m. on Friday for an alleged robbery. The arrest follows police serving a search warrant at his home, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

There were no additional details provided surrounding the allegations against YG, aside from him being arrested on robbery charges, NBC News reports.

However, his attorney, Joe Tacopina, told NBC Los Angeles that his client was “caught off-guard” by the arrest.

Tacopina added, “He’s an individual who doesn’t understand what they’re talking about, up to the point where he thinks they have the wrong person.”

Fans were concerned that YG’s arrest would affect his role in the tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle at the Grammys, but now that he has been released, he is expected to perform.

YG will be joined by other artists such as Kirk Franklin, DJ Khaled, Meek Mill, John Legend and Roddy Ricch.
