Erykah Badu took to Instagram to announce the second installment of her “Quarantine Concert Series.”

She wrote, “Badu Quarantine Concert Series!I back with— APOCALYPSE TWO (the rooms) 2.00 at the Dow. / 7pm cst I’m trying to blow your mind, that’s all. Only on stream.BaduWorldMarket.com.”

“Apocalypse Two: The Rooms” is set to take place Sunday, Apr. 5 at 8 pm EST. The concert will feature Badu with her full band. Viewers will be able to “move from room to room inside her home, exploring and experimenting with different genres of music interpreted through her catalog of hits,” according to a press release. The “Bag Lady” singer is charging viewers two dollars to be able to view the concert.

Badu held part one of her series last month with a video on Instagram. For that show, she only charged fans one dollar to watch. During that live-streamed performance, Badu spoke about the financial burden the recent social distancing efforts have placed on the music industry and performers, who depend on income from live shows.

“How [the music industry] works is, the artists get about 8 to 20 percent [of record sales], but it’s not paid until the record label recoups the money they loaned to you in the form of an advance, so it’s really not designed for us to become wealthy,” she said, “That’s why we rely on our live shows.”

“We’re not rich people. We just play rich people on TV,” she continued. “This is how we make our living and some of us only have one form of income and that’s shows. I wanted to create another revenue of income and you’re helping me do that in a big way.”

Multiple celebrities have taken to social media to hold concerts for their fans during the Coronavirus pandemic. John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, H.E.R., Ty Dolla $ign, Kirk Franklin, Chloe x Halle, Ziggy Marley, Miguel, and Common all held virtual concerts on their Instagram Lives.
