In the continued effort to bring live music to fans who are practicing social distancing, TIDAL has announced their “At Home With TIDAL” performance streaming series. This week on the platform, members and non-members alike will be able to access exclusive 12-hour streams of recorded live performances.
Officially launching on Wednesday (March 25), the “At Home With TIDAL” streamed performances will offer an array of artists, ranging from pop to R&B. According to the TIDAL website, performances from Latin music, pop and electronic artists will be streamed through Friday, with hip hop and R&B performers taking center stage this weekend.
On Saturday (March 28), fans will be able to watch iconic performances from JAY-Z, J. Cole, Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, Gunna, City Girls, 21 Savage and many more on the platform. R&B performances will be ushered in on Sunday (March 29), with streamed performances from Beyoncé, Rihanna, Ari Lennox, Trey Songz, Jorja Smith, H.E.R and others.
According to a press release, TIDAL has committed to “helping people through these challenging times” by offering fans streamed live performances, Instagram chats with their favorite artists and more.
For those who are looking to become members of the streaming service, the platform is also currently hosting a reduced membership rate of $4 per month for four months until April 15.
Although the current Coronavirus pandemic has shut down many concerts, tours and festivals, live-streamed performances have taken the internet by a storm. Last night (March 25), Jennifer Hudson gave a breathtaking performance of “Impossible Dream,” “All In Love Is Fair” and “Amazing Grace.”
Also last night, Michelle Obama and DJ D-Nice partnered to use the current Instagram Party craze to encourage the public to vote. In collaboration with the former First Lady’s When We All Vote organization, the live-streamed event helped eligible voters register to vote for the upcoming presidential election.
D-Nice and Hudson’s efforts follow several celebrities who have offered their fans at-home shows, including John Legend, Miguel, Chloe x Halle, Common, Ziggy Marley, Swae Lee, Erykah Badu and more.
