On Monday night (May 20), TMZ pulled up on 21 Savage in Hollywood with a series of questions centering on Kodak Black, who recently was arrested ahead of his scheduled Rolling Loud music festival performance in Miami. The 21-year-old's latest arrest adds to his growing list of legal troubles, which includes an arrest for weapons and drug possession in New York City and rape charges in South Carolina.

Although 21 Savage is in the middle of his own legal battle with immigration regarding his application for U.S. citizenship, he was quick to note that while his situation is not identical to Kodak's, he is hoping for the best.

While leaving TAO, the rapper indulged the celebrity publication, alluding to how he feels rappers should navigate through their careers and fame with an elevated sense of awareness and protection.

"The law is the law," he said. "You break the law, you gotta deal with the consequences. That's just how it goes."

He also explains how while there are some unfair cases to be mindful of, those who do find themselves in unfortunate legal predicaments generally would be best advised to own up to their choices as a way to get through the challenges they may be facing.

"Rappers just got to be more safe," he continued. "Some rappers do make bad decisions. They just got to own up to their bad decisions and face our trials or whatever we go through—our tribulations. We just got to stand up and man up to them."

"It's some unfair s--t going on and it's some fair s--t going on. Both of 'em," 21 added in conclusion.

While 21 Savage's immigration status is still awaiting a verdict after his previous hearing was postponed, Kodak remains in federal custody. As reported, he was arrested for allegedly lying about his pending felony investigation while filling out paperwork to obtain a gun. He has also been reportedly tied to a shooting that took place close to where he grew up in Florida's Golden Acres community.
