Meek Mill has had enough. The Philadelphia rapper is no stranger to social media causing tension in both his personal and professional life, and most recently, he decided to pull the plug on Instagram.

Following his release from prison last April, Meek has seemingly found a balance between using his platform for interacting with fans, promoting his social justice initiative work and sharing some lighthearted personal thoughts. However, something may have struck a nerve over the weekend, leading him to deactivate his Instagram account.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday (April 20), the rapper wrote, "No social media .... all real life!"

He then responded to a fan who pressed him further on the subject, noting how Instagram "is boring without you."

Meek replied, "I'm on real life vibes right now ... lol I be tired of seeing all that capping sometimes."

While the 31-yer-old is absent on Instagram, his Twitter account remains active, leading fans to believe he will likely return to the photo-centric platform in due time.

In related news, it was recently revealed that Meek Mill and Nipsey Hussle had been working on a joint project together. In the recent weeks since Nipsey was fatally shot, Meek Mill has vocalized with fans how the tragedy has deeply impacted him.

"Broke me," he tweeted following his peer's death. "He really fighting for our lives against our own kind and really have to take risk and match the level of hatred that we are born in .. I'm tired. Prayers for my brother and his family."

While the status of his and Nipsey's collaborative project remains speculative at this time, Meek recently took to Twitter to tease another four-track EP. In 2016, he released 4/4, leading fans to begin anticipating a similar drop.

In the meantime, it appears as though Meek Mill will keep all relative updates to Twitter while he embarks on an Instagram hiatus. Take a look at his tweets explaining his decision to distance himself from the platform below.
