As fans, family and friends of the late Nipsey Hussle pay tribute to the slain rapper and entrepreneur, who was shot and killed on Sunday (March 31), authorities are working diligently to see that justice is served.

As reported, on Thursday (April 4), Eric Holder, who is the primary murder suspect accused of fatally shooting the acclaimed artist and community leader, entered a not guilty plea.

Holder is being represented by Chris Darden, who previously worked as a city prosecutor in Los Angeles and rose to fame during the O.J. Simpson murder trial during the mid-1990s.

Two days after being detained on Tuesday (April 2) Holder, 29, was officially arraigned in downtown Los Angeles Thursday afternoon. He is facing one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. He is currently being held on $5 million bail.

According Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Holder could be facing a possible maximum sentence of life in state prison if convicted.

Nipsey was shot outside of his Marathon clothing store, which he opened in 2017. He reportedly was paying a visit to the shop in order to help a friend who was recently released from prison pick out clothes. Two other men were also wounded in the attack, with one being treated at an area hospital.

According to LAPD Chief Michel Moore, Holder and Hussle became involved in a personal dispute, after which Holder allegedly returned to the scene with a handgun and opened fire.

In the days since Nipsey was tragically killed, artists such as Drake, Rihanna, Beyoncé, YG, T.I. and countless others, including his older brother Samiel Asghedom and longtime partner Lauren London, have opened up on social media while processing the devastating loss.

Fans have also begun a petition calling for the city of Los Angeles to rename an intersection in memoriam of Nipsey's life and legacy.
