Dr. Dre is a proud father and isn't afraid to let the world know how he feels.

However, the veteran music executive appears to have had a change of heart after a recent public post praising his daughter's admission to college admission was received poorly on social media.

The hip hop icon took to Instagram over the weekend to poke fun at the alleged college admissions scandal, which has made countless national headlines and implicated stars such as Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin for allegedly bribing college officials, all while congratulating his daughter for getting into college "all on her own."

"My daughter got accepted into USC all on her own. No jail time!!!" De. Dre captioned a photo of him posing with his daughter, Truly Young.

However, as fans were quick to point out, Dr. Dre and fellow music mogul Jimmy Iovine gave a $70 million donation to USC in 2013. The donation allowed them to establish the USC Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation. The pair joined forces to establish the academy in order to provide undergrad students with an opportunity to advance their education in the fields of marketing, business entrepreneurship, computer science and engineering, audio and visual design and the arts.

So while Dr. Dre is correct in that he won't be seeing jail time due his donation to the school being as legitimate as can be, many fans are noting that his contribution to the school probably didn't hurt his daughter's chances of getting accepted in the first place.

On Monday (March 25), after a weekend of his mentions being flooded on social media, the music mogul decided to delete the post without providing any additional comment. Being roasted for his wording was presumably the cause for his taking the post down but his joke backfiring still shouldn't take away from the music executive enjoying a "proud dad" moment on the timeline.

Take a look at a screenshot of Dr. Dre's since-deleted post bragging about his daughter's latest achievement below.
