As Drake's career has grown to the monumental heights where it proudly sits today, his father's notoriety has increased in tandem.

During an interview with Variety, the rapper's dad, Dennis Graham, revealed he is gearing up to a drop a new song, "That On That," as well as offered his opinion about recent trending topics, such as R. Kelly and Jussie Smollett.

When asked to weigh in on the developments in R. Kelly's criminal case--he is now facing 10 counts of sexual abuse--Graham's response showcased what is increasingly becoming an unpopular opinion, going on to express his support of the since-disgraced singer.

"He's a good friend of mine. I wish him the best. I hate that it's happening to him," Graham said. "There's a reason why women come out after the fact. He has my support 100 percent."

The comments arrive after new details have emerged regarding R. Kelly's alleged illegal activity.

In regards to Jussie Smollett, Graham shared his opinion that he feels the "Empire" actor is "misunderstood." After previously making headlines after suffering an alleged racist and homophobic attack in Chicago, Smollett is now facing charges related to the accusation he staged the hate crime.

"Jussie has been misunderstood," Graham explained. "As a matter of fact, they know that. That story that came out about Jussie in Chicago is not true about Jussie. Jussie is a friend of mine, also. They have totally reconstructed his story."

In addition to offering his support for R. Kelly and Smollett, Graham also explained how his interest in making music is only a hobby-level at this time.

"I'm doing things as I feel," he shared. "I'm not trying to start a career. If I feel it, I will put it out, but it's strictly a hobby."
