Hip hop continues to soundtrack this turbulent political time.

As the United States is still in the middle of the longest partial shutdown in history—a situation that is directly impacting over 800,000 federal employees who either aren't working or are working without pay—TSA agents are finding solace in the sounds of Travis Scott and Kanye West.

As reported, TSA agents working at New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport have decided to make light of the shutdown in the form of musical resistance, blasting mainstream hip hop through the airport's speakers.

Most notably, passengers passing through the airport have been treated to uncensored versions of Travis Scott's "Sicko Mode" featuring Drake and West's "Lift Yourself." As frequent travelers can attest, such songs are not commonly heard playing through the terminals' bustling public spaces.

Per Business Insider, a spokesperson for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey noted that TSA employees and airline employees have control over the music at certain terminals. According to accounts from passengers, the recent playlists have also featured songs from Ludacris, Beastie Boys and Paramore.

Countless celebrities, including Snoop Dogg, have publicly criticized Trump for the government shut down.

"All you people in the federal government that are not getting paid right now ain't no way that you can vote for Donald Trump when he come up again," the West Coast veteran shared on Instagram. "If y'all do vote for him, y'all some stupid muthaf—kas. I'm saying that to y'all early."

Donald Trump continues to blame Democrats for the partial shutdown and is refusing to approve a budget unless it includes over five billion in taxpayer dollars to be allocated to pay for his long-promised border wall. The president famously said that Mexico would finance the wall throughout his campaign. As reported, Democrats have rejected the president's request for funding the wall, as well as state they will not negotiate the subject until the government is reopened.

Take a look at how hip hop fans are reacting to the soundtrack TSA agents are providing during the government shutdown in the tweets below.
