However, according to Pusha T, the polarizing rapper has taken a break from donning his MAGA hat -- a symbolic representation of his contrasting relationship with politics and his outward support for Donald Trump.
During a recent visit to "The Daily Show," King Push reflected on his relationship with his friend and collaborator, sharing with host Trevor Noah how difficult it was to be working on his DAYTONA album during the same time West was proudly endorsing Trump.
"Can you imagine having those conversations while he's trying to make my album?" the Grammy-nominated artist said. "He basically has my life in his palm and I have to tell him that I hate something. We always have real conversations, though. Always. I think that's why me and him connect so well and I think that's why DAYTONA came out so well. It's a give and take. If I don't like something, I say it and he tries to correct it, and so on and so forth."
In addition to revealing that West hasn't been wearing his MAGA hat lately, the conversation shifted to discussing mental health.
"I've been pretty ignorant to mental health, as well," Pusha said, explaining how he hopes people will continue to be transparent about the topic. "Just being honest… When we were coming up, nobody just looked toward that. And now, learning about it, it's a real, real thing."
