Several Mac Miller albums expected to land on Billboard charts next week

A week ago to the date, September 7, the hip-hop community and world at large was stunned by the heartbreaking loss of Mac Miller.

The rapper, who was 26 at the time of his passing, was found in his home with reports suspecting his cause of death to be an overdose. While an autopsy has been completed and the medical examiners are still awaiting toxicology results to determine his official cause of death, fans are taking solace in revisiting his catalog and penning heartfelt tributes on social media.

According to reports, the late rapper's music has garnered enough airplay to make a significant impact on the charts, with seven of his projects facing the possibility of appearing on next week's Billboard 200 (dated Sept. 22).

Per Billboard, his most recent album, Swimming, may break through to the Top 5, seeing a 500-percent unit gain in streams. Currently, the project sits at No. 71 after initially debuting at the No. 3 slot on the chart dated August 18.

After news of his death sent a tidal wave of grief over his fans, early reports noted that his streaming increased 970-percent following his passing.

While we'll have an affirmative answer next week regarding which projects of his debut and re-enter the charts, the impact Mac Miller's life and legacy has had on the masses is undeniable, with thousands and thousands of fans doing their best to process the tragedy and pay homage to the Pittsburgh visionary.
