Considering September has already been a tough one and we're only just getting started, Drake must've sensed that the hip-hop community—and the world at large, if we're speaking honestly—could use a moment of restored hope this weekend.
Taking matters into his own hands, the 6 God surprised those in attendance at his tour stop in Boston Saturday night (Sept. 8), with a special guest, bringing out none other than Meek Mill.
The pair, who have been entangled in an ongoing beef for what feels like ages now, reunited on stage, commemorating the feel-good occasion with an impassioned performance of "Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)." As Meek ran through his treasured anthem, Drake sported a massive grin and ran around the stage to rile up the crowd even more.
After the song concluded, Drizzy hopped on the mic to address the crowd and officially squash their beef, which originally transpired in 2015.
"We need more peace in the world, we need more love in the world," Drake said. "Meek Mill, that's my brother, that's my n—a from day one, so were were able to do this tonight in front of y'all. I'm very honored that you were here to witness it and I thank you Meek Mill."
Taking to Instagram after word of their reunion instantly made its rounds online, Drake shared a candid from the long-awaited reunion, penning a heartfelt caption to help further get fans in their feels.
"This really gave me peace of mind tonight," he wrote. "Healing and moving forward created one of the most electric and gratifying moments of my career. @meekmill I'm happy that you are home and that we could find our way back to our joint purpose. (Cue the Kevin Garnett 'anything is possible' adlib."
On top of that, Drake is keeping the good vibes flowing, later commenting that Kanye West, according to TMZ, who has also been experiencing some turbulence with the Toronto rapper, is welcome at any one of his upcoming shows. God's plan?
