Freeway couldn't be more happy of his hometown. The sports teams in his city of Philadelphia are excelling and his close friend Meek Mill is back home after a stint in prison.
"It shows you that it's power in the people," said Free, who participated in the well-publicized rally for Mill and justice reform in Philadelphia last year. "We can do whatever we want if we stick together and put our mind to it."
Freeway also has every confidence in his 76ers who are currently facing the Boston Celtics in the second round of the NBA Playoffs.
"We're going to the chip," Freeway prophesied. "We're taking it. I believe in them. They're young, they're hungry. Meek just came home. The energy in the city is crazy. The Eagles just [won the championship]. Villanova just did it. It's only right."
Speaking of wins in the City of Brotherly Love, Freeway feels like the 76ers' court vision-blessed Ben Simmons will edge out Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz for Rookie of the Year.
"Ben Simmons got it. Lot of respect for that brother, he goes hard."
Freeway just dropped new single "All The Way Live" from his forthcoming LP due in June.
