Among the many things that Prince worked on prior to his sudden death in 2016, including the output of four albums in just two years, was Janelle Monaé's fourth studio album Dirty Computer.

In a recent interview with BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac, Monaé revealed that she and the late icon were working on the album together before he sadly passed away in his Paisley Park home on April 21, 2016. "Prince actually was working on the album with me before he passed on to another frequency, and helped me come up with sounds," she revealed. "I really miss him, it's hard for me to talk about him. But I do miss him, and his spirit will never leave me." The comments were also echoed in the singer's interview with The Guardian, noting that she and Prince had been "collecting sounds" for Dirty Computer.

The extent of Prince's contribution on the album is unclear, however the production credits for Dirty Computer should reveal all the deets when it arrives on April 27th.

Prince and Monaé's collaborative history dates back to 2013's The Electric Lady, where they recorded "Givin' Em What They Love." Monaé's reveal should pacify fans of her recent single "Make Me Feel," which happens to be a beautiful display of the Purple One's aura. This funk-filled single, along with the fierce "Django Jane," will appear on Dirty Computer.
