EarthGang has today (Feb. 23) released Royalty, the third and final installment of their recent EP series, joining the company of previously released EPs, Rags and Robots, respectively.
The project, which spans five tracks, includes one lone feature, with fellow Dreamville artist Ari Lennox offering her talents on the song "Nothing But the Best."
The Atlanta duo's latest project marks their third release since signing to J. Cole's label this past year, helping build anticipation for what will be their debut studio album. Recently, the group confirmed that the project will arrive sometime this year and will be titled Mirrorland.
"This is us going up to the launching pad before we head off into this other world that we intend to take you into," EarthGang shared during a recent interview with Consequence of Sound, reflecting on their new project. "It's like being on the plane before you take off — the anticipation, the anxiety and restlessness, whatever you feel. It's like let's get there, let's do this. This project really is us sitting in that space ready to free yourself from whatever is going on around you."
Currently the duo, comprised of Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot, is on the road supporting J.I.D's Never Had Shit tour, which is set to wrap on March 10.
