Yesterday (January 2), Justin Timberlake announced the upcoming release of his fifth studio album, Man of the Woods, which is set to drop on February 2nd. Today, the singer has shared more details about the record, specifically the collaborators involved.
According to a press release, fans of Justified will rejoice, as the slate of collaborators this time around includes the Neptunes and Timbaland, as well as Alicia Keys and country artist Chris Stapleton. The new album will be JT's first studio release in five years. His last album, The 20/20 Experience, arrived in two separate sets back in 2013 with features from Jay-Z ("Suit & Tie," "Murder") and Drake ("Cabaret").
As per the promotional material for Man of the Woods, the project is expected to contain influences from American rock music and is inspired by his wife (actress Jessica Biel) and son. Before the album arrives next month, Timberlake has plans of releasing a new single every week, starting on January 18th. First up is the lead single, "Filthy," which arrives this week (January 5), along with a music video directed by Mark Romanek. The song is co-written and co-produced by Timberlake, Timbaland, and Danja with additional writing credits from James Fauntleroy and Larrance Dopson.
