Jim Jones had a lot to discuss while he sat with DJ Envy, Charlamagne tha God and Angela Yee for today’s episode of The Breakfast Club. He touched on Mase not being a leader in Harlem, how Stack Bundles was destined for greatness and the conversations that sparked this current Dipset reunion.

“The conversation happened through a guy named Tuma,” said Jim Jones.

Currently holding down the position of Global Head of Hip-Hop at Spotify, Tuma Basa oversees the leading streaming service’s hit RapCaviar playlist, and had wanted Cam’Ron, Juelz Santana, Freaky Zeeky and Jimmy to reunite for a Spotify sponsored concert.

For the “Ballin’” rapper, resolving his issues with Cam made sense after a series of conversations between Basa and the Dipset cofounders. “When he went to speak to Cam first and then he spoke to me he was like, “Damn, you said the exact same thing that Cam said.’”

Before bringing the original members of Dipset back together, Tuma had stints at BET and MTV2, helped build MTV Jams and launched music programming here at REVOLT.
