Though held in Brooklyn's Barclays Center, last night's TIDAL X concert was certainly uplifted by powerful performers of the Bronx.

Three-quarters through the benefit show for hurricane victims, the always-fashionable Cardi B came out for her monster smash "Bodak Yellow" to the delight of the audience.

"Puerto Rico!" she shouted at the end of her record. "Shout out to my family country, Dominican Republic. Shout out to Trinidad [and] Tobago." And before leaving, she added with a laugh, "My ass is fat."

Bangers from the Bronx continued later with Fat Joe bringing out Dre from production duo Cool and Dre for their collabo "So Excited" and Dre then handled singing duties for Ty Dolla $ign on "Money Showers." Remy Ma also joined the fray for her verse. After "Lean Back," Joe's friend and hypeman extraordinaire Pretty Lou came out with a message: "We here for Houston!" he yelled. "We here for Florida! We here for the Virgin Islands and for Puerto Rico!" The collective then went into "All The Way Up."

"The government ain't supporting Puerto Rico, so we the people have to stay in their face and let them know we with Puerto Rico," said Joe, who has been at the forefront of relief for PR. "We with Houston. We with Florida and the Virgin Islands."

Joe's sentiments were echoed by Lin-Manuel Miranda as he introduced Jennifer Lopez. "Whenever our people need her, she says 'presente!' Don't be fooled by the rocks she got."

"Brooklyn, you wanna take a ride back to the Bronx with me?" J.Lo asked minutes later, commencing her set with "I'm Real."

Her collaborator Fat Joe returned, rising up from under the stage decked in a red tracksuit to match Lopez's crimson ensemble, on "Feels So Good."

Further on, Lopez encouraged the crowd: "We're not done. That's why I'm here tonight. We're joined in unity and love to help one another. It's up to us to create the type of world we wanna live in. We have to give it all we have."
