Sean 'Diddy' Combs is one of the 100 entrepreneurs and visionaries Forbes is honoring with their "100 Greatest Business Minds" list.

Combs spoke to Forbes about his customer service skills and how they have helped his businesses thrive throughout the years.

"I started my business career at age 12, delivering newspapers," he told the publication. "I had a lot of elderly customers, so I would always put the newspaper in between the screen door and the door -- that caring made me different, made me better than the last paperboy. Since then, I've always understood that if I give the customers my best and service them differently, whether music, clothing or vodka, I'll get a return on my hard work."

The 47-year-old business mogul's intro into the world of entertainment began when he was a talent director at Uptown Records. After his departure from the company, he founded his very own label, Bad Boy Records, home of the Notorious B.I.G, Craig Mack, Faith Evans, and more.

Sean Combs' entrepreneurial spirit doesn't end with music, however. In 1998, he started the clothing line, Sean John, which earned him a Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) award win for Menswear Designer of the Year in 2004. When Combs partnered with Cîroc, he helped the once-struggling company multiply in sales and flavor options, opening them up to an entirely new wave of consumers. In 2014, Sean 'Diddy' Combs officially introduced the world to REVOLT TV, his multi-platform television network and production company. The following year he teamed up with actor Mark Wahlberg and Ronald Burkle to purchase a majority holding in Aquahydrate.

In 2016, Sean Combs showcased his philanthropy in a major way by opening Capital Prep Harlem charter school in his hometown.

With experience in music, television, fashion and hospitality under his belt (and a "can't stop, won't stop" attitude) there's no question why Diddy would land on Forbes' Greatest Business Minds list.
