Laverne Cox has been manifesting the opportunity to work with Beyoncé for a long time now, with the two finally meeting in person for the first time earlier this year at the Grammys.
With the debut of the beloved singer's new Ivy Park Fall 2017 collection, such a glorious occasion for the actress-activist to join creative forces with one of her heroes has finally arrived.
Cox, who has subtly teased the dream-come-true collaboration, was recruited to model some looks found in Bey's new activewear line, alongside Karen McDonald, Souffrant Ralph and Grace Bol.
"To be honest, it doesn't feel real," Cox shared during a conversation with PeopleStyle. "It feels like some weird fantasy that I've had since Destiny's Child. It feels amazing that I get to be a part of this brand that has already inspired me and be working with a woman who has especially been a huge inspiration to me and so many folks around the world."
The Emmy-nominated Orange is the New Black star spoke highly of Beyoncé and her experience working with the singer's clothing line, despite the two not being able to reunite during the photo shoot due to Queen Bey anticipating the arrival of her twins.
"Beyoncé is someone who has pushed herself beyond what even she thought she could do," Cox added. "It's a sense of becoming a superwoman, and really pushing yourself beyond all measure."
As someone who has tirelessly and selflessly worked to inspire others and advocate for social issues, such as trans rights, it's especially fitting that Queen Bey would personally enlist Cox to be the face of her clothing line's new season.
"True beauty and power are born out of strength of character and defined from the inside out," Ivy Park shared in a statement explaining its inspiration for the new collection. "There is no one standard of beauty."
