The worlds of Kid Cudi and Kanye West collided in Japan, leaving fans to wonder if a potential collaboration is in the works — and by "collaboration," we mean a full-length joint album.

Earlier this morning (August 11), famed Japanese artist Takashi Murakami posted a photo on Instagram of the two G.O.O.D. collaborators at his studio in Japan. The caption read, "Long time no see @kidcudi and #kanyewest. Thank you for coming to my studio." In separate posts by other attendees, including Kanye's longtime pal and former video director Coodie Rock, who helmed many of the College Dropout era visuals, the caption read, "Coming Dec 31st! #EVERYBODYWINS #GODisGREAT."

The caption comes as 'Ye has been spotted with many of his longtime friends as of late. Just last week, he and Cudi were together in China, along with Ye's former manager John Monopoly and more. In addition, last month, Ye, Cudi and Plain Pat were also spotted out in Los Angeles.

Now, there has been no confirmation about a project or information that could lead to believe that Kanye and Cudi are actually working on joint or separate projects, however Ye is no stranger to releasing new music around New Year's Eve ("Only One," "Facts").

Albeit the thin evidence, it has already been confirmed that Kanye is back in the studio working on new music. In an interview with Variety, Def Jam CEO Steve Bartels revealed that Kanye is "very focused" on the new material. "When he's ready to do something or talk about something, we're there for him, we totally support his vision and his focus, and that's where we leave it."

Ye, Cudi and Murakami's photo together comes as the approaching 10-year anniversary for Graduation arrives next month.
