Over the weekend, veteran Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex made waves when he, well, hit the airwaves and played a previously-unreleased track from The Fugees. Hear it below.
Despite teasing the track as "new," two-thirds of the band have since come forward to deny that claim, and denounce what they've deemed an unapproved leak.
Lauryn Hill expressed her uncertainty on Twitter, writing, "The 'new' Fugees song is indeed an old track played around with back in the lab. Not sure who leaked it, but I have my suspicions."
And Wyclef shared his disapproval, as well, writing, "To all my fugees fans, the song leaked today is a old one from past studio days.I don't endorse it in anyway and had no clue it was coming."

While talk of a new track from the group, disbanded for over a decade, may have raised speculation that a reunion was in the works, Pras denied as much when he visited REVOLT TV, revealing that the group was recently offered $90 million to tour together but turned the offer down. Watch below.
