No class, no respect. In a heinous slap in the face of hip-hop culture, a freshly-painted mural in Queensbridge paying homage to Prodigy of Mobb Deep was vandalized twice over the weekend and has now been covered up for good. Police at the 14th Precinct in Queens say they have no leads on who defaced the grandiose painting, which stood outside the Urban Upbound building on 13th Street in Queensbridge.

Last week, artist Jeff Henriquez collaborated with "Eli Eos" Lazare and Elements of Styles to paint a large-scale mural of one of Prodigy's most iconic photographs, where he folds his arms and shows his tattoos that read Mobb Deep. Over the weekend, someone threw white paint all over the mural. It was cleaned up the next day. But by Sunday, the mural was hit again, this time with red paint. By Monday afternoon video of the mural being covered up with black paint hit social media. Fans and artists alike were outraged.

Ty Nitty of the Infamous Mobb said he was "disgusted" and "shocked" on his Instagram page. "Y'all will never get blessed, doing evil things like this."

Tony Yayo also commented. "Get a life. I hope we catch you" to the assailants.

Henriquez declined Revolt TV's request for comment and Eli Eos was unable to be reached. Ironically, some good has come in the wake the Queensbridge mural vandalism. More murals dedicated to Prodigy have popped around the world, most notably in LA, Texas and Germany. Prodigy died last month. He was only 42.
