Around 11:30 a.m. Thursday morning (June 15), popular podcaster Daryl "Taxstone" Campbell plead guilty in federal court to two counts of weapon charges. He faces 20 years of incarceration.

In mid-January, Taxstone was arrested in Brooklyn on federal charges of felon in possession of a firearm and transporting and receiving a firearm. He has been in federal detention ever since. He can be sentenced to a maximum of 10 years in prison on each.

The controversial media personality was granted bail during his arraignment that same month and the decision was reversed a day later after new evidence was presented.

At the arraignment, U.S. Attorney Hagen Scotten accused Taxstone of being the person who "shot the fatal shot" that killed Ronald "Banga" McPhatter last spring at Irving Plaza in New York during a T.I. concert. No murder charges have been brought forward against Taxstone as of yet, but at least one eye witness has apparently come forward.

Troy Ave, who had been feuding with Taxstone over some disparaging comments on the Tax Season podcast, allegedly got in a physical altercation with the host and gunshots ensued shortly after. Troy Ave was arrested in the aftermath of the tragedy and still facesgun charges in the incident. He's out on $500,000 bail. The rapper claims self-defense.

A representative from the U.S. Attorney's office did not have a sentencing date for Taxstone as of yet. Taxstone's lawyer Kenneth Montgomery was unable to be reached.
